Anita Canta graduated from Utrecht University in 2002 in Dutch Law and Economics. She spent almost 5 years working in the general commercial law practice.
Since 2007 Anita works at the Commercial Law practice at CMS Derks Star Busmann, concentrating on distribution and franchising. She has extensive experience in the drafting of franchise agreements, the modification of these agreements and assisting with the start up and change processes of franchise organisations. Furthermore, Anita mediates and litigates in conflicts between franchisor and franchisee.
Anita is an associated member of the Dutch Franchise Association and in the Guide to the Worlds Leading Franchise Practitioners 2009 she is considered as one of the most eminent franchise specialists in the Netherlands.
Furthermore, Anita’s area of activity covers (international)commercial contracts such as cooperation, agency representation, distribution and professional services, together with general terms and conditions. Anita has special expertise in the pharmaceutical branch on these subjects.
