On Wednesday 27 May 2009 at its offices in Amsterdam, CMS Derks Star Busmann will be organizing a breakfast seminar on the theme Downsizing!
These are turbulent times for many businesses. In order to stay afloat, more and more businesses are being forced to close or sell business units. That’s downsizing!
During this seminar Katja van Kranenburg-Hanspians and Martika Jonk will explain what you need to be aware of when closing or selling a business unit, from the perspective of both employment law and company law.
The topics of discussion will include assets and liabilities transactions compared to share transactions, voluntary liquidation, collective redundancy and the role of the Works Council and trade unions in these areas.
